Refrigerated

Complete Quality Control is the process used at High Country Transportation, Inc. when transporting refrigerated products. While many in the industry think that refrigerated trailers are just “vans with refrigerators on them” we know that it is a specialized field of transportation.

To provide the highest level of service we only haul customer freight on our own company equipment with our own company drivers. We are not a freight brokerage and will not be passing off customer’s freight to another company. When customers tender a refrigerated load to High Country Transportation, Inc., they will know that it is on one of our own trucks and they can contact their customer service representative who can answer with certainty the status of the load. It seems like this point should be obvious but today most companies are flocking toward a brokerage/logistic model and forgetting that eventually someone is going to have to provide the actual assets (trucks) to haul the freight. As third party logistics companies rely on other trucking companies to provide the actual transportation, during times when there is a shortage of trucks the logistics companies will not be able to move freight. By working with High Country Transportation, Inc. shippers know the capacity will be there when they need it because we are in control of our own trucks. We actively seek multi-year and dedicated contracts with refrigerated shippers who want to rest easy knowing they will be able to get their shipments moved today and in the future. However, in addition to contract services, we provide the same great service for customers who have one load or one hundred to ship.

High Country Transportation, Inc. hires the best drivers to haul to your refrigerated freight. Our driver pay is among the highest in the industry attracting top level drivers to assure that your products are being loaded correctly, transported safely, at the correct temperature and likely to arrive on time. Our fleet is equipped with electronic logs so customers know their products are being transported in accordance with the Federal Hours of Service regulations.

The equipment at High Country Transportation, Inc. is all late-model to prevent breakdowns which can delay your load. The oldest trucks in our fleet are 2010 model year tractors. Most importantly, our refrigerated trailers are all 2010 model year and newer to maintain the integrity of your refrigerated products. All trailers in our fleet are equipped with satellite tracking units which relay the temperatures and settings on your load to customer service representative in real-time. All tractors are equipped with GPS tracking units so that we can always tell where a customer’s load is located or they can check it out themselves with our internet load tracking.

High Country Transportation, Inc. does not want to be the lowest cost carrier; we strive to be the highest quality carrier. Your refrigerated products are too important to be put on any other carrier less committed to quality. We want to be a partner in moving your freight. High Country Transportation, Inc. wants to keep you satisfied so that you can keep your customers satisfied.
